The weather here in London has been so amazing the last few days, it really feels like spring and the sun is out in force. On wednesday I was really taken with the great weather and thought it would be lovely to make a summer drink. I was not disappointed and in fact my mum was taking some to drink even before I had finished taking the pictures which is always a good sign.
This is the first time I have taken pictures outside and anyone who lives in the UK will know why, this year it has been pure rain, it has been grey and dark and really not suited to photography and so with a bit if sun it was great fun. I was a little bit apprehensive about shooting outside but I really wanted to create the feeling of a cold drink on a summer afternoon. I was surprised by the results, pleasantly and really like the images that came out of the shoot. I also really enjoyed being able to move around and get the light from different angles and the effect it made on the shot.
I have called this drink a smoothie but it is a bit thinner than that but lemon curd drink just did not sound that nice. You could make it a bit thicker by using full fat coconut milk to make this and reducing the amount of ice but to be honest it is great just the way it is, in my opinion. If you want something to refresh you in the warm weather then this drink will definitely hit the spot!
