If these were for Valentin’s day then I know they are a bit late but I don’t think that chocolate truffles should just be for a particular occasion and can be enjoyed all year round, especially with yummy raspberry.
I spent quite a while playing around with different ideas for truffles and spent almost the whole of Saturday covered in chocolate, which is not necessarily a bad thing 🙂 Finally I cam up with these super tasty vegan truffles that are totally decadent and great fun at a party when served with the dipping sauce and other toppings at a dinner party.
You could serve them as I did above, using fondue forks and ready rolled truffles. The other alternative is you let your truffle mixture set in a bowl and then serve it to your guests with spoons and all the little dips and toppings. It is the perfect choice if you want something informal and is sure to go down a treat with anyone that you invite.
A quick word on the white chocolate sauce. This is a completely vegan recipe and I actually used powdered agave instead of normal sugar so it will come out very sweet but perfect for anyone who prefers sweet treats as the truffle use very dark chocolate. Also most white chocolate had milk powder in it, so I substituted this with coconut milk powder, be careful when getting this as many coconut milk powders actually include dairy milk powder as well. If you don’t have some you should get it, it is by far the cheapest and easiest way to get enough coconut milk and cream into your house!
