While it is great trying all these different teachers and formats I thought I would review one of my regular teachers and let you know about their classes. I have been attending classes run by Rebecca for over 3 years now and I can certainly say that she is largely responsible for where I am with my yoga today. If the classes had not been so friendly and her style and not been as encouraging as it was I think I would have lost hope very quickly. Rebecca has her own style where yoga is concerned and has this amazing ability to tailor a class in a fun and engaging way that is easy for a beginner to get into but also challenging enough for those with several years experience. Having tried a lot of different yoga teachers this is much harder then you would think and I often feel let down by a class. A class with Rebecca and vary significantly from week to week. Some days, particularly if it is cold we may do a lot of sun salutations and then do strength work to create and maintain the heat in the body. Other days it can be a lot more restorative and focus on a particular area of the body, like releasing tension in the hips of shoulders. I have loads of tension in my shoulders so I particularly love these classes as you can really feel the release. Attending classes with Rebecca I get a full yoga education, so I learn correct alignment in the poses and how to take myself to my limit without going too far, teaching you how to control the ego! You will also get a good mix of meditation and pranayama incorporated into the classes. If you get the chance to attend one of her classes I can highly recommend them.
