Yoga is About Self-Acceptance


I got this quote come through to my phone this morning and I just had to share this with you as it resonated so strongly with me. I spend a lot of time working on self-help which I will expand on over time on this blog but the idea in the quote is perfect for me. We should all work on self-acceptance in every aspect of our lives. This seems like quite an easy thing to do but genuine acceptance can be quite difficult to achieve as we spend almost all of our lives comparing ourselves to other people. We are fatter, less rich, don’t have that car or other item we aspire to. All of this prevents us from accepting who we really are. This means loving and accepting every part of you, including your warts. Regular practise of yoga is definitely something that can start you on the path of self-acceptance. In your next yoga practise try focusing on the quote and try and feel it.
